NEOPLAN Skyliner, Red Dot 디자인상 수상
Traditional design features such as the forward-thrusting window columns, the big two-part windscreen, the lookout-platform appearance of the front, the dynamically angled wheel arches and the clipped headlights make the Skyliner an unmistakeable member of the NEOPLAN bus family. At the same time, well-known design elements have been newly interpreted. The Skylight concept, with its glazing in the roof roundings, huge windscreen and big windows in the roof that that also function as emergency exits, enables spectacular views from the panorama upper deck. From the outside, the Skyliner’s windows appear to be uninterrupted, neutralising the division into upper and lower decks normally seen in double-deckers. The line of lower-deck windows bonds with the more than generously dimensioned panorama window, which curves through three dimensions. This is holistic design, down to the last detail.
The engineers and designers were no less successful in adopting tried and trusted components such as the rear lights, headlights and flaps from other NEOPLAN models in order to continue the proven Corporate Design within the vehicle family. This continuity is advantageous to customers from the point of view of product lifecycle and when it comes to spare-parts provision
